THE MISSION WITH A VISION

We the torch bearers of  KONKANI SAHITYA – KALA FOUNDATION have a mission at hand, a conviction, a realization which is nothing short of a revolution. With a SANKALP deeply rooted, in our hearts, we are marching forward to complete a PRAKALP.

We want to delve deep in to the annuls of history and resurrect the hidden cultural treasures, lying deep beneath the debris of time.

We will traverse the length and breadth of Konkan to record, photograph, film the cultural diversities of Konkanis. Research is our goal.

Creating Baal Sahitya (child literature), is high on the agenda, so that Konkani children can savour the Navras of  Konkani literature, before alien culture devours them.

Spade work for the Preservation,  Conservation, nurturing and transmission of the Konkani Folklore to the future generation has begun.

The foundation  for the elevation of Konkani Theatre to new heights has already been laid.

Plans are afoot to study the nuances of Konkani Language, its construction, its grammar and  its rich vocabulary.

Fifteen young Konkanis, with fire in their bellies, are at work, with brain storming sessions almost every fortnight. We want to multiply by the thousands.

We want to spread our wings to the corners of the world, with a participative spirit and  contributive zeal, so that diversity becomes our Cultural Potential and the Foundation of our Konkani Identity.

Will you extend a hand in association, Will you be the face in the  Konkani Crowd that is recognized, Will you be the silver lining on the Konkani Firmament.

We shall  all then collectively reap the rich rewards of Konkani revival, Konkani Renaissance.
