AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

01)              To conduct and/or cause to be conducted research into and/or on the origins of Konkani People, Language, Culture, Literature, Art, Folklore, Traditions, Customs, Usages. 

02)              To conduct and/or cause to be conducted research into and/or on the Historical, Geographical aspects of Konkani People, Language, Culture, Literature, Art, Folklore, Traditions, Customs, Usages. 

03)              To Document, Photograph, Record, Film the Linguistic, Literary, Cultural, Artistic, Traditional, Customary aspects of Konkani. 

04)              To Set up, Build, Establish, Run, maintain a Konkani Research and Development Institute(s) and/or its branches, in India for the Propagation, Preservation, Conservation and sustainable development of Konkani Language, Culture, Literature, Art, Folklore, Traditions, Customs, Usages. 

05)              To Set up, Build, Establish, Run, Maintain Konkani Educational Institution(s), School(s), College(s), Deemed University(s) for the purpose of Propagation, Preservation, Conservation and Transmission of the Konkani Language, Culture, Literature, Art, Folklore, Traditions, Customs, Usages to the present and future generation. 

06)              To Teach, Educate, Print, Publish, Broadcast, Telecast, Ecast the rich Konkani Cultural, Linguistic, Artistic, Traditional, Literary, Customary aspects.  

07)              To Popularise and/or develop Konkani Theatre, Music, Folk Art, to stage, encourage staging, Associate, Organise, co-operate, co-ordinate, help, assist in staging Konkani plays, dramas, skits, Musical performances, Art exhibitions, Book exhibitions and other cultural and/or literary programmes. 

08)              To set up, purchase, build and maintain infrastructural facilities, to hire staff on payment of salary, to hire and utilise services of lawyers, accountants, social scientists, teachers, professionals, linguists, artists, musicians, playwrights, academicians,  to purchase, hire or take on lease land(s), buildings for furthering the aims and objectives of the Trust. 

09)              To develop,  standardize, popularize, propagate Konkani Language in all its variations, denominations, shades, cultural milieu, geographical divisions etc. 

10)              To hold Konkani Cultural, Literary gatherings, conventions, conferences, meetings, debates, public shows etc. 

11)              To Assist, Support, Encourage, Promote, Carry-out, orgranise, Help, Associate, Co-operate, Co-ordinate with other Konkani Institutions, Associations, Organisations, Trusts, Societies with the same or similar Aims and Objectives. 

12)              To promote social welfare and social upliftment of the people, to initiate social action, to support, encourage, promote, carry-out and organize for the integral human development of the poor and the economically weak sections of the society without any distinction of any religion, caste, ethnicity, sex etc.
